Banff Preservation Society was set up in 1965 when traditional buildings on the High Street were demolished. The Society continues its work of preserving and renovating the built heritage of Banff. The details of projects carried out by the Society can be seen on the Society's website. Its latest project has been the renovation of 1 Carmelite Street, which having been renovated is now occupied by a business.
The Society has a series of talks throughout the year and offers a summer outing. New members are welcome. The Society runs the Museum of Banff in partnership with Aberdeenshire Museums Service.
