Join Our Novice Training Sessions (Booking Required)

We will be starting our winter pool sessions on 30th September at Banff swimming pool.

As well as time slots for existing members to train and practice skills already learned, a Novice Group Block of training will also start on the 30th September and run for 12 weeks up to Christmas.

The course is ideally suited to those with little or no experience of kayaking and the training will start from the very basics (understanding the equipment etc), and by the end of the 12 weeks those on the course will be able to paddle/capsize/rescue and be rescued in a controlled environment.

The group will be made up of a maximum of 12 people, allocated on a first come first served basis, and will be charged at £84 for the complete 12 weeks, including all equipment and coaching. Those signing up will be expected to pay for the complete 12 week block in advance.

At this point we are asking for those who are interested to put their names and contact details forward. We will send out details to anyone who contacts us, and a place in the training group will only be confirmed when the club receives payment

The only prerequisites for taking part in the novice group are you must be able to swim one length of the pool and be at least secondary school age

So if you have fancy trying kayaking for the first time in a nice warm pool, sign up now and come along - we hope to see you there
