Light The North Comes To Banff

Clan Cancer Support, in partnership with Wild in Art, is shining a light across the north-east, Moray, Orkney and Shetland with ‘Light the North’ the lighthouse trail from August 9th to 17th October.
The Trail will raise awareness and support for Clan, an Aberdeen based cancer support charity, which provides the emotional and practical support needed to ensure patients' wellbeing needs are taken care of at all stages of their cancer journey.
Banff Castle is the location for Lighting The Dark, a 2.5m vibrant pink lighthouse structure which has been created by Infinite Sky Murals. The striking and contemporary design represents hope in hard times. Reminding us that there is always a guiding light, no matter how dark the night.
The Light The North trail encourages locals and visitors to get out and explore Scotland's regions. A map detailing the locations of all 50 lighthouses can be downloaded from the Clan website, via the link below.
The Light The North app allows users to plot their route and track down your favourite lighthouses across the north-east and Northern Isles, as well as collecting lighthouses, unlocking rewards, tracking progress, and sharing photos. The app is available to download from the App Store and Google Play for just 99p.
